| Janice M. Dahl This award-winning agricultural journalist and photographer also has more than 25 years leading non-profits specifically in the areas of management, communications, strategy and goal-setting. She worked with some of the nation’s largest associations in improving governance, business process and strategy, both as a staff member and as an external consultant. Dahl worked in the sheep and soybean industries, serving as the executive director the United Soybean Board for nine years, including oversight of the international division. Specific to agriculture, she has worked in the areas of soybeans, sheep, sorghum, dairy, botany/economic botany, and livestock feed. She has a degree from Colorado State University in Technical Journalism with a specialty in Animal Science; and earned a Certified Association Executive (CAE) from the American Society of Association Executives. |
Jim Butler Jim Butler brings a strong career in executive and academic leadership globally to the team, having worked in leadership positions for the U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation in Agriculture, and the USDA’s Marketing and Regulatory, Farm and Foreign Agriculture Program Areas. He has also served as the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University, Executive Vice President of the National Wool Growers Association, and Extension Livestock Specialist at Colorado State University. Throughout his career, Butler is noted for bringing operational, strategic and policy planning to fruition through a common-sense approach. His varied background in all types of organizations allows him the ability to lead and mediate discussions to generate results. |
